Twin Cities, MN Job Support Information

This table lists Twin Cities, MN area job support groups in files called 'METRO_AREA_JOB_CLUBS*.doc' and 'METRO_AREA_JOB_CLUBS.pdf' that can be found at various places on the 'Net. The author of the list, Bruce G. Hanson has a web site at: http://brucehanson.efoliomn1.com. The latest version of file can be found here; click on his 'Helping Others' page.

I have not yet checked the items below with the most current version of the list from Bruce. So, they may or may not have been updated.

The MN Work Force Centers (WFCs) also keep a list of job groups local to the individual centers which are kept up-to-date by their local 'pagemasters'.

I have some updates for the document as of Mar.8.2005, which are detailed below.

I have also created a calendar so that I could easily determine when I needed to be available without searching the 9 pages 3+ times a day. Each item is assigned to a category, which includes the general location of the meeting places (Mpls, StP or S,SW,W,etc of the cities--these do not appear in the HTML version of the file) so it is easier to find local meetings. I provide the calendar, to anybody who wants it, in the following formats:

MNJobSupportCalendar.ics iCalendar format (Mozilla & Thunderbird's native format which may or may not be the same as Outlook's)
MNJobSupportCalendar_iCal-RDF.rdf iCalendar RDF format
MNJobSupportCalendar_iCal-XML.xcs iCalendar XML format
MNJobSupportCalendar.vcs vCalendar format
MNJobSupportCalendar.html HTML web page
MNJobSupportCalendar.csv Comma Separated Values. Importable into many programs, such as, Excel

If anybody is interested in this calendar or suspects there might be general interest in a calendar version of the events please let me know so that I can determine whether it should be maintained or if I should just consider it a one-off project. You can send an email to 'webmaster' (without the quotes) at my domain: GlenCoakley.org.
